Investigation and Verification of Soil and Groundwater Pollution in Tainan City

Absrtact	The overall project can be categorized into eight thematic frameworks, including regular soil contamination monitoring, high pollution potential industry guidance, groundwater monitoring and maintenance management, gas station review and on-site inspection, site inspection and verification of contaminated sites, soil or groundwater pollution verification, emergency response work, advocacy and administrative work. A total of 14 land monitoring projects were carried out this year. All monitoring results were below the control standard and 5 sites could be stopped monitoring next year. 96 times groundwater sampling and analysis are sampled, of which heavy metal arsenic in the Wushantou regional monitoring well (SRL002) and Pao-an industrial zone (BA-EPA07) exceeded the groundwater pollution control standard. Xinshi Industrial Zone (XS-TM02) and R00531 monitoring well Trichloroethylene and fluoride salt problem, the monitoring wells are generally ammonia nitrogen problem. This year, the number of outward appearance inspections was 671, 44 out-of-the-way maintenance operations were carried out and 5 wells for non-monitoring purposes were used to abolish, 9 wells were repaired, 15 wells were washed. Gas station reporting rate was 100%, a total of 30 on-site inspection were carried, according to EPA classification principles for different frequency tracking. Site inspections completed for 538 times, this year added the 21 sites and the solution out of 9 sites, a total of 92 sites; site investigate and the verification were performed 79 points, respectively, 16 investigation operations and 13 verification work, seven investigation sites shall be reported to the tube, four verification sites fail to verify. The total number of emergency response work was 11, the total contingency funds was NT$1,066,202 and the expenditure rate was 100%. 200 factories of high pollution potential has carried out, 30 factories to check and tutor, 21 factories to be sustained tracking. A total of 176 site documents were examined , 111 inspection documents and 9 underground storage tank management documents have been examined for this year. In addition, Assist the EPB handle a brownfield consultation, two regulatory briefings, one seminar, one technical forum and one large-scale educational campaign.
